SUMMARY:Fall Archery Day
DESCRIPTION:Sign up for one of three available sessions \nDesigned for all girls from the first time Archer to girls who have developed skills. Beginners will learn the fundamentals of range safety\, proper stance and basic shooting skills. Intermediate archers will concentrate on achieving good groupings while focusing on improving body stance\, consistency in anchoring\, proper release technique and safety. \nFor more advanced girls\, the focus will be on achieving more consistent arrow placement.  They will learn to observe and understand arrow patterns. Learn about the body mechanics of archery\, the role of different muscles and how to mindfully set up the perfect shot. Both compound and recurve bows will be available and for those that are ready\, we will begin to introduce sights\, stabilizers and finger slings. \n     \n \n  \nWHAT TO WEAR & BRING \n\nSturdy closed toe shoes\nLong pants\, Sweat Shirt or Jacket\nSun Screen (Just in case)\nWater bottle\nHair tied back\nPositive Girl Scout Attitude

DESCRIPTION:Celebrate Juliette Low’s Birthday at a Halloween themed party. \nWear your Halloween costume\, play carnival games\, visit our Girl Scout Heritage Museum\, try your hand at the Girl Scout Trivia game and do some fun Crafts. \nCost of $5.00 per girl includes a glow in the dark event patch\, treats and all activities\, you will even get to take home a piece of the Birthday cake. \n \nSign up through your troop or contact Cheryl at clkingham@outlook.com \n1 pm to 2:30 pm: Daisies & Brownies \n3 pm to 5:00 pm: Juniors & Cadettes \n\n\n\nService Project: Troops should encourage and bring donations of canned food including pop-top fruit\, soup\, tuna\, vegetables\, peanut butter\, granola bars\, pasta and sauce\, potato mixes\, ramen noodles\, and snack crackers. This supports the Teen Crisis Pantry at McKinleyville High School.\n\n\n\n
