We will have country booths run by troops\, scouts will travel from booth to booth and get their passports stamped. There will samples of international food and drinks\, crafts and games. \nThe festival will open with a parade of flags. There is no cost  \nYou will discover ways to work with younger girls\, organize activities\, and lead songs and games. Learn some of the characteristics of younger children\, how to deal with behavior issues\, and disabilities. \nThis is also a first step to developing the skills you will need to become a counselor in training (CIT) at camps (like Camp Tall Trees) or a volunteer in training (VIT) working with other troops.  Completion of this training allows you to work toward earning your Program Aide Pin. There is no cost for this training.

DESCRIPTION:The annual Trees of Mystery event is back. A staple of the Humboldt/Del Norte Girl Scout calendar for many years. \nCelebrate the wonders of trees at Trees of Mystery in Klamath.   Hike the Trail of Tall Trees\, ride the Sky Trail Tram over the tree tops\, walk amongst the giant redwoods on the Sky Trail and marvel at the End of the Trail Native American Museum. \nThere will be plenty of other activities to enjoy\, including some very cool crafts.  Lunch will not be provided so please pack a sack lunch as there are very limited dining options near the Trees of Mystery.  \nApril 20th\, 2024 ~ 9:00am-3:00pm \nFee: \n$15 per Youth Member and (K-12) Tagalongs \n$20 per  Adult Member \n  \n \n  \n

DESCRIPTION:You must be in 7th grade or above to take this training \nSat Jan 20 – 10:00am – 4:00pm (Part 1) – Morris School\, Mckinleyville\n \nSun Jan 21 – 10:00am – 3:00pm (Part 2) – Morris School\, Mckinleyville\n \nYou must attend BOTH days. There is no cost  \nYou will discover ways to work with younger girls\, organize activities\, and lead songs and games. Learn some of the characteristics of younger children\, how to deal with behavior issues\, and disabilities. \nThis is also a first step to developing the skills you will need to become a counselor in training (CIT) at camps (like Camp Tall Trees) or a volunteer in training (VIT) working with other troops.  Completion of this training allows you to work toward earning your Program Aide Pin. There is no cost for this training. \n

SUMMARY:Wilderness & Remote First Aid
DESCRIPTION:Wilderness & Remote First Aid certification is required for any Girl Scout activity taking place in a location where m Emergency Medical Service is more than 30 minutes away. The course provides the knowledge to provide appropriate first aid care when help is delayed. \nThis course meets both Girl Scout and BSA requirements and results in a two year certification. \nGirl Scout Volunteers and Scouts (must be at least 14 years)  $45 \nBSA Volunteers and Scouts (must be at least 14 years) $70 \nHours 8:30 to 5:30 each day. DESCRIPTION:This year troop Girl Scouts is hosting Breakfast with Santa at the Dows Praire Grange.   Come visit Santa who arrives at 9:00 am and will likely fly away back to the North Pole at 11:00am. \nThe Lyons Club will be conducting free Vision Screenings. Shop the Holiday Fair\,  Pancake breakfast prepared and served by Girl Scouts will be served between 8:30 and 11:30 (adults $10.00 children $6.00)
