DESCRIPTION:The Cookie Rally is our traditional kick-off for our important entrepreneurial program that gives troops the chance to raise funds for their activities\, travel\, and service projects.  \n  \nGirls get a chance to taste the cookies\, learn about them\, practice marketing ideas\, and create booth signs.  Older girls will run a photo booth and many other activities for a fun way to get ready for public boot sales and digital cookie. \nThe event will be at Sunnybrae Middle School.  Carpooling is encouraged due to limited parking.

There is no cost  \nYou will discover ways to work with younger girls\, organize activities\,  lead songs and games. Learn some of the characteristics of younger children\, how to deal with behavior issues\, and disabilities.  Training covers homesickness\, how to work with adults and much more. \nThis is the first step to developing the skills you will need to become a counselor in training at camps Camp Tall Trees.  Completion of this training allows you to work toward earning your CIT Pin. There is no cost for this training. \n

SUMMARY:International Festival
DESCRIPTION:Our Traditional International Festival to celebrate the world wide Girl Scouting and Girl Guiding movement.  Our International Festival also recognizes February 22 which is Thinking Day\, a day in which we recognize and think about our sisters overseas. We will have country booths run by troops\, scouts will travel from booth to booth and get their passports stamped. There will samples of international food and drinks\, crafts and games. \nThe festival will open with a parade of flags. Troops have the opportunity to present a performance based on the country they choose to represent and finally we will have information on each of the five World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS) world centers. \n

SUMMARY:CPR & First Aid Class
DESCRIPTION:You will learn the skills to respond to cardiac and breathing emergencies in Adult\, Children\, and Infants along with skills to care for common first aid emergencies including sudden illnesses\, burns\, cuts\, and more. The use of automated external defibrillators (AED’s) is covered in this training course. \nAfter successful completion of this course participants will receive American Red Cross Adult and Pediatric CPR/AED and  First Aid certification valid for 2 years. \n

DESCRIPTION:You must be in 7th grade or above to take this training \nSat Jan 18 – 10:00am – 4:00pm (Part 1) – Morris School\, Mckinleyville\n \nSun Jan 19 – 10:00am – 3:00pm (Part 2) – Morris School\, Mckinleyville\n \nYou must attend BOTH days. There is no cost  \nYou will discover ways to work with younger girls\, organize activities\, and lead songs and games. Learn some of the characteristics of younger children\, how to deal with behavior issues\, and disabilities. \nThis is also a first step to developing the skills you will need to become a counselor in training (CIT) at camps (like Camp Tall Trees) or a volunteer in training (VIT) working with other troops.  Completion of this training allows you to work toward earning your Program Aide Pin. There is no cost for this training.

SUMMARY:17th Annual Christmas Craft Fair
DESCRIPTION:All age levels welcome  \nGirl Scouts will make a variety of take‐away Christmas projects (9-10) that can make nice family gifts or keepsakes. They will also participate in a service project: making holiday cards for local Senior Citizens. \nWe are also collecting cans of soup and pop-top fruit & granola bars for local food baskets. \nRegister through your troop.
