As many of you are probably aware Wolf Creek Education Center in Redwood National Park the usual home for Camp Tall Trees will be undergoing renovations and improvements this summer. We are excited for these improvements that will include upgrades in the electrical and water systems, new trail lights, cabin insulation and dehumidifiers and much more. However, this does mean that Camp Tall Trees will not be held at Wolf Creek this year.
Camp will still be happening with Forest Friend and Explorer Camps being held at Howland Hill Outdoor Education Center just outside Crescent City and older girls will attend Camp Tall Trees “Under the Stars” in southern Oregon.
We expect registration to open on February 1, 2025.

Camp will take place at Flumet Flat in southern Oregon’s Applegate Valley. This is the same location used for Camp Tall Trees under the stars in 2021 and 2022 when COVID dictated that we camp out in the open air. It is an exceptionally large group campsite behind a locked gate. It is a relatively primitive site without flush toilets, showers or running water. In June temperatures will likely be in the 80’s or low 90’s which makes the adjacent Appleagate creek a great place to relax.
