Forest Friends is a short three-day, two-night camp designed especially for younger girls. This year’s focus is on Girl Scout Traditions. We will explore leave no trace principles, fire building and safety, first aid, fun with bandanas, and what to take when hiking.
Girls will also enjoy traditional camp activities like the climbing wall, campfire programs, the monkey bridge, and short hikes.
Camper will learn simple First Aid rules and make a mini First Aid kit.
Accommodations are in cabins equipped with sleeping platforms. All food is prepared in the camp kitchen. Flush toilets are available in the toilet block.
In addition to adult volunteers, a dedicated group of older girls, counselors in training, will be assigned to each patrol. These older girls are excellent role models for young campers while helping them “learn the ropes”.
